Founding Full Stack Engineer – Healthtech x Fintech x AI
Salary: Up to £100k/year
Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week in Central London (Waterloo)

Your Role:
We’re hiring a Founding Full Stack Engineer to join an early-stage team at the intersection of healthcare, fintech, and AI. Working closely with the CTO, you’ll help shape the architecture, tech stack, and culture from the ground up. This is a hands-on role where you’ll ship meaningful features fast and influence everything from engineering practices to product direction.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Building core features and infrastructure, prioritising performance, reliability, and security
• Contributing across the full stack — from API design and backend architecture to polished UIs
• Working with Product and Ops teams to translate real-world problems into software
• Owning debugging and optimisation in production environments
• Establishing technical foundations and best practices for future hires to build on
The Stack:
Their ideal tech stack includes:
React, Next.js, Java, Kotlin, PostgreSQL, and AWS
But they’re also open to engineers with strong experience in other modern stacks, including Python, Django, or Flask — as long as you're adaptable and comfortable working across systems.
What They’re Looking For:
• Experience working in an early-stage or fast-growing product team
• Proficiency in modern frontend and backend technologies
• Strong experience with SQL, particularly PostgreSQL
• Production-level problem solving, with an eye on speed and scalability
• High ownership mindset and comfort making technical decisions in ambiguous situations

• Learns quickly, iterates fast, and values feedback and collaboration
Bonus Points:
• Experience with payments, embedded fintech, or conversational interfaces
• Exposure to LLMs, agentic AI, or intelligent automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and dev workflow best practices in small teams
